64 die from pneumonia in Ukraine

Baku â€“ APA. According to reports to November 2, 64 people died from pneumonia in Ukraine, First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Alexander Turchinov said, APA reports quoting Ukrainska Pravda online source. He said totally 171 thousand people were suffering from influenza and 7.5 thousand of them were hospitalized and 64 died.

The Ukrainian government brought a large party of Tamiflu used against the flu virus from Switzerland last night. Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, presidential secretary Vera Ulyanchenko and foreign minister Peter Poroshenko received the medicines at the airport. Tymoshenko said there were 300 thousand doses of medicine and it was enough for all regions of the country. She said 191 thousand people were suffering from ordinary flu in the country and 14 cases of Californian flu (â€œswine fuâ€) were identified so far. â€œThe medicines will be divided free among the hospitals. Ill people can ask the hospitals for the medicines. They will receive first free medical aid there. The people can not be worry and should know that there are enough medicine resources in the Ukrainian hospitalsâ€.

Tymoshenko said 300 thousand doses of Tamiflu more would be brought to Ukraine next week.
