â€œSwine fluâ€ epidemic started in Ukraine

According to his words, the session with participation of the leading specialists took place in Ternopil on Thursday. â€œAccording to the preliminary results, we state that Ukraine entered to the world pandemic zone and epidemic of A/H1N1 flue started in Ukraineâ€, said Knyazevych.
The minister said the Health Ministry was going to declare quarantine not only in the western part of Ukraine, but throughout the country. â€œThe virus is spreading rapidly. We are looking forward to declare vacation in the schools and institutes and address the people to cancel participation in the public eventsâ€.
Knyazevych called on the people not take self-treatment measures and to visit a doctor. â€œThe people died because they didnâ€™t visit doctor in time. They called doctors in fifth or seventh day of the illness, which makes the medicine helplessâ€.
The minister said Ukrainian doctors were experienced in this issue. â€œWe are actively working with the doctors. The Health Ministry approved the protocols for instruction of the doctorsâ€.
30 people have died in Ukraine since October 19 as a result of serious respiratory diseases. The death cases were identified in the western regions of the country â€“ Ternopol, Lviv and Ivano-Frankovsk. Ukrainian newspapers reported about 34 dead.
