Ukrainian citizen of Azerbaijani origin runs for presidency

Baku â€“ APA. An interesting case took place during the presidential election campaign in Ukraine.

Ukrainian citizen of Azerbaijani origin Zaur Abbasov joined the presidential campaign. There are no details about biography of Abbasov, who calls himself â€œtrue Ukrainianâ€. He was born in Ganja (Kirovabad â€“ in Soviet time) City of Azerbaijan and now lives in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine.

The presidential candidate made everything wrong in very beginning. He didnâ€™t submit complete package of the documents, including his election platform. The most interesting thing is that Abbasov wrote his application to the name of the Ukrainian Central Election Commissionâ€™s chairman Andrey Strijak despite this post is taken by Vladimir Shapoval for long years.

The candidateâ€™s representatives promised to correct all mistakes by this weekend.
