Former minister of environment jailed in Kazakhstan

Baku – APA. Former minister of environment of Kazakhstan Nurlan Iskakov was sentenced to four years of imprisonment. Two deputy ministers avoided imprisonment with conditional sentences, APA reports quoting Kazakhstan Today.

Iskakov was sentenced for abuse of official position and plundering the budget resources. His assistants Zeynulla Sarsembayev and Aljan Braliyev were conditionally sentenced to 2-3 years. They were banned to take public offices in this period.

The former minister and his assistants denied accusations and didn’t admit guilt.
