Russia to use right of preventive nuclear attack

Moscow – APA. Russia made amendment to its military doctrine, which gives it a right to use nuclear attack for prevention of threats to its national security, Russian Secretary of Security Council Nikolay Patrushev told Izvestia, APA reports. He said classification of military conflicts was also changed in the doctrine. They were divided to large-scale, regional, local and armed conflicts. Patrushev said local and armed conflicts were dominating in the world now. According to the new military doctrine, Russia can use preventive nuclear attack not only during the large-scale, but also regional and local conflicts as well. US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said her country didn’t consider the opportunity of preventive nuclear attack in its military doctrine.
