Dow Jones rises 1.11%, S&P 500 â€“ 0.86%, Nasdaq â€“ 1.19%

Baku â€“ APAâ€“Economics. The Dow Jones industrial rose 1.11% to 8711.82 in the US stock exchange on July 16. S&P 500 rose 0.86% and reached 940.74. The Nasdaq rose 1.19% to 1885.03.

According to APA-Economics, US labor market positive reports, as well as quarterly accounts of the large banks, including JPMorgan Chase&Co had an impact on the exchanges.

In the European markets, UK’s FTSE 100 rose 0.35 percent, to close at 4361,84 France’s CAC-40 â€“ 0.58 percent, to close at 3199.68, Germany’s DAX index â€“ 0.58 percent, to close at 4957.19.

In the financial sector, HSBC, Barclays, Lloyds, BNP Paribas and Societe Generale gained 0.5-3.2%, but Nokia which lost 502 mln euro or 78.4% of its incomes fell 15%.

The dollar price against euro was 1.4124 (+0.36%).
