Dow Jones rises 0.3%, S&P 500 â€“ 0.5%, Nasdaq â€“ 0.3%

Baku â€“ APAâ€“Economics. The Dow Jones industrial rose 0.3% to 8360 in the US stock exchange on July 14. S&P 500 rose 0.5% and reached 905.84. The Nasdaq rose 0.3% to 1800.

According to APA-Economics, Goldman Sach report had an impact on the exchanges. The bank earnings hit a record â€“ $13.76 billion over the past quarter of the year and pure profit rose 46% and reached $5.25 billion in first half-year of 2008-2009 fiscal year. Goldman Sach shares rose 0.1% against this report.

In the European markets, UK’s FTSE 100 rose 0.85 percent, to close at 4237.68, France’s CAC-40 â€“ 0.98 percent, to close at 3081.87, Germany’s DAX index â€“ 1.26 percent, to close at 4781.89. Deutsche Bank, BNP Paribas, Societe Generale, HSBC, UBS, UniCredit gained 2.1-3.6%, BMW and Renault â€“ 5.3% and 4.2%.

The dollar price against euro was 1.3980 (+0.09%).
