Dow Jones and S&P 500 indexes fell 0.4%, Nasdaq rises 0.2%

Baku â€“ APAâ€“Economics. The Dow Jones industrial and S&P 500 fell 0.4% which reached respectively 8146 and 879.13. The Nasdaq rose 0.2% to 1756.

According to APA-Economics, reports of US Labor and Trade Departments had an impact on the exchanges. US Labor Department data showed that U.S. import prices jumped 3.2 percent in June, which has been highest growth indication since 1990. US Trade Department reported about foreign trade deficit fall 9.8% to $25.96 billion in May.

In the European markets, UK’s FTSE 100 fell 0.7 percent, to close at 4127.17, France’s CAC -1.42 percent, to close at 2983.10, Germany’s DAX index â€“ 1.16 percent, to close at 4576.31. BP lost 0.8%, Royal Dutch Shell â€“ 1%, StatoilHydro â€“ 1.2%, Total â€“ 1.7%, UBS Bank â€“ 2.4%, Banco Santander â€“ 1%, BNP Paribas â€“ 2%, HSBC â€“ 1%, UniCredit -3.7%.

The dollar price against euro was 1.3972 (-0.03%).
