Baku – APA-Economics. The Dow Jones industrials lost 1.9%, to 8,163, the Standard & Poor’s 500 index – 1.9%, to 881,03 and the Nasdaq composite index fell 2.3%, to 1,746 on July 7. According to APA-Economics, the indexes fall due to the fall of oil prices and negative prognosis on the recovering of world economy.
In the European markets, Britain’s FTSE 100 fell 0.19% to 4187,00, Germany’s DAX index declined 1,15% to 4598,19 and France’s CAC-40 fell 1,09% to 3048,57. Macroeconomic indications have an impact on the exchanges. Britain’s industrial output fall 0.5%, despite that the analysts forecast its increase by 0.2%.
In the oil sector, Total lost 1.2%, Royal Dutch Shell – 0.4%, Cairn Energy – 1.3%, Repsol – 1.6%. Cement producers Lafarge and Holcim lost respectively 1.6% and 0.9%.
The session was successful for the financial sector. Standard Chartered rose 1.8%, Barclays – 1.1%, BNP Paribas – 1.2%, Commerzbank – 0.9%.
The dollar price against euro was 1.3887 (-0.66%).
