Archeological excavations in Gabala unveil remnants of two ancient huge public buildings

Remnants of two huge public buildings which date back to antic period were found as a result of archeological excavations in Gabala city of Azerbaijan. The length of one of these buildings is 71 m, width 20m, the length of the other on is 38 m and width is 8.5 m, head of scientific expedition conducting archeological excavations in Gabala Ilyas Babayev told the APA.
Investigations are underway with the financial support of Archeology and Ethnography Institute of National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan and Azerbaijan-Korea Culture Exchange Association.
Public buildings, residential houses, daily tools and coins of various periods were found as a result of archeological excavations in Gabala. Expedition head Mr. Babayev said that excavations will continue next year as they could not find answers to some Gabala-related questions./APA/
