Baku-APA. A Turkish soldier who was seriously wounded in an armed clash with the terrorist Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in southeast Turkey 14 months ago died at an Ankara hospital despite medical treatment, APA reports quoting Today's Zaman.
Turgay Karaca, 24, was seriously wounded in a clash with the PKK in rural area of southeastern province of Hakkari last year. He had been receiving medical treatment at the Gülhane Military Academy of Medicine (GATA) in Ankara.
On Thursday doctors announced his death. Military officials informed Karaca's relatives in his hometown.
