Baku-APA. Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Lebanon Ghazanfar Roknabadi said Thursday that his country had always been supportive of a political solution to the Syrian crisis, APA reports quoting Xinhua.
"Iran is ready to participate in any international conference that seeks political solution in Syria" Roknabadi said following meeting with former Lebanese prime minister Salim El Hoss.
The Iranian diplomat confirmed his country's readiness to partake in Geneva 2 conference "provided that the dialogue would be inter-Syrian. "
He noted that discussions with Hoss featured high on recent political affairs, at the international and regional levels.
He added "we also tackled the Iranian-Lebanese relations and the latest updates regarding the Iranian nuclear dossier."
