Baku-APA. Two people were killed and five others wounded in separate attacks in Iraq on Saturday, police said, APA reports quoting XInhua.
In Baghdad, a roadside bomb struck a police patrol in Ghazaliyah district in the western part of the Iraqi capital of Baghdad, killing a policeman and wounding three other people, including another policeman, a police source told Xinhua.
Near Baghdad, gunmen attacked the house of a tribal leader in the town of Madain, some 30 km southeast of the capital, and shot dead his son before they fled the scene, the source said.
In Iraq's eastern province of Diyala, two policemen were wounded in a roadside bomb explosion near their patrol in the city of Sa'diyah, some 120 km northeast of Baghdad, a provincial police source told Xinhua.
Iraq is witnessing its worst eruption of violence in recent years. According to the UN Assistance Mission for Iraq, almost 7, 000 Iraqis were killed and over 16,000 others injured from January to October this year.
