Türkiye will not tolerate provocations, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said while commenting on the shooting near the Israeli Consulate in Istanbul, APA’s Türkiye bureau reports.
Condemning the incident, Erdoğan stated that they will not allow the atmosphere of trust in Türkiye to be undermined by deliberate provocations.
According to him, three terrorists were neutralized during the shooting — one was killed and two were injured — while two police officers sustained minor injuries.
The Turkish President noted that both the Istanbul Chief Prosecutor’s Office, as well as police and intelligence agencies, are conducting an investigation into the incident.
