At least 112 people were reportedly killed and 837 more were wounded in Lebanon on Wednesday after Israel launched its largest wave of strikes against Hezbollah since the war began, APA reports.

“The Israel's airstrikes on numerous Lebanese areas, reaching the capital Beirut, have led, in an updated non-final toll, to 112 martyrs and 837 wounded,” the Lebanese health ministry says in a statement that doesn’t differentiate between civilians and combatants.

Israel has carried out its largest strike against Hezbollah infrastructure in Lebanon since the launch of Operation “Lion’s Roar,” the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said, APA reports.

According to the statement, the IDF struck around 100 Hezbollah headquarters and military infrastructure sites in Beirut, the Bekaa Valley, and southern Lebanon.

It was reported that the organization’s intelligence headquarters and key centers, military infrastructure responsible for missile launches and naval operations, as well as facilities belonging to the Radwan forces and the 127th air unit, were targeted.

It was noted that most of the targeted facilities were located in civilian-populated areas, which indicates that Hezbollah uses civilians as “human shields” to protect its assets. It was also stated that measures were taken to minimize civilian casualties prior to the strikes.
