"Borders between Turkey and Iran have been the safest during the last 100 years," said Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh at a weekly press conference today, APA's Tehran bureau reports.

Commenting on the visit of the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s trip to Tehran, Khatibzadeh referred to the long-standing Iran-Turkey ties as well as long borders between the two countries and said they have been the safest during the last 100 years.

The Foreign Ministry spokesman said that there were no significant changes in the discussions on the normalization of relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia.

"We expect the Saudi side to announce a date for a new round of talks. The date will be announced as soon as it is determined. We hope that Riyadh will return to the new round of talks with serious and practical decisions," he said.
