50 persons identified from people killed in plane crash in Iran

The identities of 50 persons from people killed as a result of crash in Tehran of the passenger plane owned by Ukraine have been established, said at the press conference Abbas Masjidi Arani, Head of Iranian Medical Examination Organization, APA’s Tehran bureau reports.

He noted that the work was continued by the working groups in the area of establishment of identities of the people killed in the plane crash.

Note that Iran's Armed Forces General Staff issued a statement on saying that the aircraft was shot down by mistake. It was mentioned in the statement that the number of flights of the US military aircrafts increased during Iran’s attack on the US military base in Iraq and in subsequent hours. The sudden return of the aircraft taking off from Iran’s Imam Khomeini airport was assessed as an attack on sensitive facilities of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps. Iran's Armed Forces General Staff apologized for human error in regard to the occurred incident.

Remind that the “Boeing 737” passenger aircraft owned by Ukraine crashed at Tehran’s Imam Khomeini international airport on January 8. As a result of the crash, all 176 persons being aboard the aircraft were killed.
