Azerbaijan's Minister of Defense, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, has offered condolences to Türkiye's Minister of National Defense, Yasar Guler, APA reports, citing Azerbaijan's Ministry of Defense.
"I was deeply saddened by the news that a serviceman from the 7th Border Brigade Command, stationed in the Hakkari region, was killed by gunfire while responding to a border violation incident.
I pray to Allah to have mercy on the deceased serviceman, share the grief of his loved ones, and extend my deepest condolences to his family. May Allah rest his soul," the condolence message reads.
