Kyrgyzstan conducts population census

Baku. Vahab Rzayev â€“APA. Kyrgyzstan has started on Tuesday the second population census in the countryâ€™s history. The questionnaire contains 18 items, including, age, sex, education, income, citizenship, nationality and etc. the census will be conducted until April2 and first results will be announced in November, 2009. The population census will cover not only the local citizens, but also the foreigners living in the country in this period. Persons, who try to avoid the population census, will be punished. Participants of the census process will automatically become players of the stimulant lottery.
The first population census in Kyrgyzstan was conducted in 1999. In the Soviet time, the census was conducted in 1959, 1970, 1979 and 1989.
