Baku. Konul Jafarli – APA. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad met with US teachers and students on the sidelines of his attendance to the 67th session of the UN General Assembly. APA reports quoting Mehr news agency, Ahmadinejad said: “Had the relations between Iran and U.S. been better throughout 33 years, the situation would have been different today”. Iranian president said that US interferes in internal affairs of other countries and supports dictatorship in the region: “US government in stead of making assistance to the Iranian people after 1979 Islamic Revolution, it committed different provocations when one year hasn’t even passed”.

Ahmadinejad stressed that US grants asylum for the criminals that are engaged with criminal acts against the Iranian people: “The US supported former president of Iraq Saddam Huseyn, hit Iranian passenger airplane, and gave sanctions against Iran. All these facts have complicated the relations between Iran and the US. The current situation is unacceptable. Actually we should try to improve our relations. That is very important now.

Iranian President said the sanctions against Iran have no influence and just caused the existing hate of Iranian people to blaze.
