Turkey to set up new camps for 43,000 more Syrians

Baku-APA. Turkey announced on Tuesday that it will set up four new camps to host 43,000 more Syrians who flee the violence in their country, APA reports quoting Xinhua.

Turkish Prime Ministry Disaster and Emergency Management Directorate said that the camps will host Syrians who are staying especially in dormitories, sport halls and borders as they fled the violence in their country.

As of Tuesday, it said, there are 79,056 Syrians in Turkey. They are being hosted in eight tents sites in Hatay, Sanliurfa and Gaziantep provinces.

Karkamis camp will have 2,059 tents, a field hospital with 50 beds and four doctors, six mosques, two playschools, six playgrounds, three lounges, a laundry and a coiffeur, when it is completely set up.

Meanwhile, the number of Syrian people who have left their country due to clashes between opposition groups and regime supporters, has exceeded 200,000.

The conflict between Bashar Al-Assad’s army and Free Syrian Army has been continuing for 18 months in Syria.
