Turkish President not to attend Tehran Summit

Baku. Konul Jafarli – APA. The Minister of Economy of Turkey Cevdet Yilmaz will participate in the 16th summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) in Tehran instead of Turkey’s President Abdullah Gul.

APA reports quoting IRNA that Turkey that isn’t the member of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) will participate in the summit as observer. Gul was proposed to participate in the summit on the special invitation by the President of Iran Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

The two-day summit of the Non-Aligned Movement will be opened by speech of the Supreme Religious Leader of Iran Ayatollah Khamenei on August 30.
