Japan revises third quarter economic growth downward

Baku-APA. The Japanese economy grew an annualized 5.6 percent from July to September, the government said Friday, downwardly revising the initial figure of 6.0 percent growth, APA reports quoting Xinhua.

The figure corresponds to a 1.4 percent expansion from the previous quarter in terms of gross domestic product, compared with earlier expected growth of 1.5 percent, according to the Cabinet Office.

GDP is the total value of goods and services produced domestically.

The new report also downwardly revised the growth rate of individual consumption and the equipment investment in the third quarter, and upwardly revised the figures of residential investment and public investment.
