1 killed, 3 injured in rocket attack in NW Pakistan

Baku-APA. At least one person was killed and three others were injured in a rocket attack in Pakistan’s northwest district of Kohat on Monday night, APA reports quoting Xinhua.
Earlier reports said that four policemen were injured in the attack, but most of the local TV channels now report that four people including two or three policemen were injured.
According to the local media reports, the attack took place at about 6:00 p.m. local time Monday when two rockets fired by unknown people hit a main market area in Kohat, a district located some 160 kilometers west of the country’s capital Islamabad.
One rocket fell on the market while the other hit a residential area nearby, said eyewitnesses.
Other details about the attack are not immediately available.
This is the first attack ever reported in Pakistan during Muhrram, a two-day holiday being celebrated by the minority Shia Muslims in the country.
Due to the past sectarian attacks on Shia Muslims during Muhrram, the government has beefed up security in every major cities in the country to prevent possible attacks during the holiday.
