Baku-APA. Kazakhstan will not abandon plans to build a nuclear power plant, President Nursultan Nazarbayev said Wednesday at an international forum which opened here, APA reports.

"Forty countries are conducting research in the field of peaceful nuclear energy, 15 building or planning to build nuclear power plants. Kazakhstan is among them," Nazarbayev told the opening of the International Forum for a Nuclear Weapons-Free World.
