25 injured as train derails in Pakistan

Baku-APA. At least 25 people were injured as a passenger train from Lahore to Rawalpindi derailed Saturday morning, reported local Urdu TV channel Duniya, APA reports quoting Xinhua.
The incident took place at about 5:40 a.m. local time when the passenger train derailed at Sara-e-Alamgir, a village in Gujrat district in eastern Punjab province.
Gujrat is located some half way between Lahore, provincial capital of Punjab, and Rawalpindi, a neighboring city of Islamabad, capital of Pakistan.
About five to eight compartments of the train derailed, said local media reports.
Some of the injured people have been admitted to hospitals in Rawalpindi and Gujrat, and the rescue work is under way.
