Baku-APA. At least one officer was killed and several others were injured as a Pakistani army helicopter crashed Tuesday evening some 40 km northwest of the country’s capital Islamabad, reported local Urdu TV channel Samaa, APA reports quoting Xinhua.

According to the report, the disaster took place at about 06:20 p.m. local time when a Pakistani army chopper carrying an unknown number of people crashed during training near an air force base in Hari Pur, a city located between Islamabad and Abbottabad, a town where the world’s most wanted terrorist Osama bin Laden was killed in his compound early Monday morning.

This is the second army plane crash reported on Tuesday in Pakistan. Earlier Tuesday afternoon, a Mirage combat jet fighter of Pakistani Air Force crashed in the desert area in the Jhang district in Pakistan’s eastern province of Punjab due to technical problem. The pilot of the plane survived in the incident.
