Senator John McCain: US should retake control of military operation in Libya from NATO

Baku-APA. The United States should retake the control of military operations in Libya from NATO, said Republican Senator John McCain. He said that only six of the 28 countries of NATO were participating in the Libya operation and they are not able to secure the fire power for a long time: â€œOnly the US has AC-130 anti-tank and A-10 ground support aircraft. We can approach the collapse of Qaddafi regime using the full power of US aviation. It is impossible to push the military operations using only Predator dronesâ€. McCain said that though the bombing of Qaddafiâ€™s residence is outside the framework of UN resolution, there are the factors which justify it: â€œIf your duty is to prevent the humanitarian disaster, the only chance of its implementation is to prevent Qaddafi to create this crisisâ€.
