Azerbaijan has a strong voice in the Turkic world, Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said in his address to the participants of the Turkish World Week dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the First Turkological Congress in Baku, APA reports.
Tokayev noted that Azerbaijan makes a significant contribution to strengthening ties among brotherly nations.
"For this, I express my gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and the people of Azerbaijan."
The Kazakh leader also noted that the Turkic Civilization Center will be built in the city of Turkistan in the coming years.
"Just recently, together with the leaders of our brotherly states, we took part in the groundbreaking ceremony for this unique center. I believe this initiative will give new impetus to the preservation and strengthening of the historical and cultural heritage of our brotherly peoples," Tokayev emphasized.
