Six years pass from Hasan Turabovâ€™s death

Baku. Ulkar Gasimovaâ€“APA. Today six years have passed since the death of Azerbaijani Peopleâ€™s Artist Hasan Turabov, who stays in the memories with his unforgettable roles. On Monday, the troupe of the Azerbaijan State Academic National Drama Theater, where Hasan Turabov worked for long years, visited the grave of actor on sixth anniversary of his death. The theaterâ€™s troupe visits the actorâ€™s grave every year on the days of his birth and death, the theater sources told APA. This year the theater couldnâ€™t hold commemoration event because the theaterâ€™s building is under restoration work now.

Azerbaijani Peopleâ€™s Artist Hasan Turabov was born on April 24, 1938 in Baku. He graduated from the Actors School of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art. He started his artistic career in the Azerbaijan State National Drama Theater in 1960 and worked there till the end of his life. He was worked as a director and art-director of the theater for a time. Hasan Turabov chose the lyric-psychological style and in a short time became the leading actor of the theater who played the title roles in many pieces of Azerbaijan and world writers. Hasan Turabov was a professor of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art. He became Laureate of State Prize (1972), peopleâ€™s artist (1982). Turabov was involved in the movie and TV films such as â€œSeven Sonsâ€, â€œBabekâ€, â€œDanteâ€™s Jubileeâ€, â€œFiance Walk Awayâ€, â€œTack up Horsesâ€, â€œLast Passâ€ and others.
Hasan Turabov died on February 23, 2003.
