Azerbaijan selects singer for Eurovision 2009 song contest - <font color=red>UPDATED PHOTOSESSION</font>

19-year old singer Aysel Teymoruzadeh was selected among 40 nominees by seven-member jury of the ITV Director General Ismayil Omarov, Rector of Baku Music Academy Farhad Badalbeyli, Executive Director of the Friends of Azerbaijani Culture Foundation Ibrahim Guliyev, President of the Azerbaijan National Music Committee of the International Music Council Lala Kazimova, Director of the Muslim Magomayev Azerbaijan State Philharmonic Hall Murad Adigozalzadeh, Department Chief of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism Manzar Nuraliyeva and official of the Ministry of Youth and Sport Farhad Hajiyev.
The selection rounds were held on October 24-25, 2008. Participants of the different TV song contests attended the selection rounds.
Aysel Teymourzadeh was a participant of “Yeni Ulduz-4” (“New Star”) contest and winner of one of the contests held in the United States.
The song, Teymourzadeh will perform at the Eurovision 2009 contest was not selected yet. The song will be chosen in the contest of composers.
Ukraine’s “Euro Media” PR Company was requested to provide successful organizations of Azerbaijani performance at the Eurovision. Numeration of the singers will be drawn on January 30.
Eurovision 2009 will take place in Moscow. First semifinal will take place on May 12, the second – on May 14 and final contest will take place on May 16.
43 countries will attend the contest this year.
