8440 SMS number available to vote for Azerbaijan dancers at Eurovision Dance 2008 from abroad

Azerbaijani dancers Eldar Jafarov and Anna Sajina will use national elements in their performance at the Eurovision Dance -2008 contest in Glasgow, Scotland on September 6, said musical coordinator of the Public Television Leila Aliyeva, AAP reports. She said they used Andrew Lloyd Webberâ€™s â€œThe Phantom of the Operaâ€ music as a soundtrack. â€œThey began rehearsals in Las Vegas, USA under the guidance of famous American choreographer Bruno Collins and then were trained at the world-known Jerry Abrate Dancing School in Verona, Italy by Caterina Arzenton. The national elements of the performance were prepared in Azerbaijanâ€. Aliyeva said it was one of the contest terms to use national elements.
Dancer Jafarov said their two-minute dancing performance had three parts. â€œWe will dance foxtrot and pasa doble in the first part, rumba and tango in second and Azerbaijani â€œLand of Fireâ€ in the third part of the performanceâ€.
The Azerbaijani dancers said they successfully performed at the previous international contests and aimed to hit one of the three top places.
Leila Aliyeva said representatives from 14 countries would attend the contest and Azerbaijan had a right to vote for 13 others. â€œIt will be available to vote for Azerbaijani dancers at 8440 SMS number and we believe Azerbaijanis living abroad and representatives of Azerbaijani Diaspora will support our dancersâ€.
Eurovision Dance -2008 contest will be broadcasted in live program on Azerbaijan Public Television on September 6.
