Fakhriyya Khalafova to invite Pierre Cardin to Azerbaijan

Baku. Ulkar Gasimovaâ€“APA. Fashion designer Fakhriyya Khalafova will invite fashion legend Pierre Cardin to Azerbaijan. The designer told APA she did not know whether the visit would take place or not. She said the visit of 86-year fashion legend to Azerbaijan would promote the development of fashion in the country.
â€œI am planning to organize demonstration of new collection at the Azerbaijan State Musical Comedy Theater. I am also intending to organize photo-exhibition at the theaterâ€™s hall where photos of unique fashion designs will be exhibited for a few days. The photos of famous world designs saved at the world-known museums, as well as dresses of Hollywood stars will be exhibited there. Indeed it is not easy to organize such event. I spent long time to collect these photos. A part of photos was sent from the Paris Fashion Museum. The visitors can get a chance to see for the first time photos sent exclusively by the fashion legend Pierre Cardinâ€.
Khalafova said they were negotiating with Pierre Cardin his participation at the event. â€œI met Pierre Cardin in 2000 for the first time. We have to meet him at the high levelâ€.
The designer is preparing in parallel for the fashion festival in Rome. She said she would present larger version of her new collection.
