The death toll from the devastating earthquake that struck Venezuela on June 24 has reached 2,954, APA reports.
The Ministry of Information and Communications of the Bolivarian Republic reported statistics on the number of victims and those affected by the natural disaster, as well as the government's rescue and aid efforts, on its Telegram channel.
According to the ministry, 16,592 people were injured, 16,309 were left homeless, 190 buildings were completely destroyed, and 856 suffered significant damage. During search and rescue operations, 6,462 people were rescued, 22,445 people were treated in hospitals and medical facilities, aid was provided to 86,794 families, and 9,486 tons of food were distributed to the victims.
