U.S. Vice President JD Vance said Iran's political system is divided, with some seeking an end to the war while others want the conflict to continue, APA reports.
"Number one, the Iranians are extraordinarily difficult people. Number two, they have a fractured system," Vance said in an interview with Fox News.
According to him, there are people within Iran's system who want the war to end, while others are "crazy radicals" who want it to continue.
"Our job is to navigate through that and get the best outcome for the American people and for the President of the United States as well," he said.
Vance acknowledged that the process would be complicated and take time but expressed confidence that an outcome would eventually be reached.
"I think where we'll land—it's going to be messy and take time to get there—but we'll land," he said.
Commenting on energy markets, Vance added that oil was trading at $79 and predicted that prices would decline and remain lower.
"Oil was $79 today. The oil prices will come down and stay down," he said.
