The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said on Wednesday that it had carried out new strikes against Iran, hitting more than 80 targets during the latest operation.
According to Reuters, U.S. forces targeted Iranian air defense systems, command and control networks, coastal radar sites, anti-ship missile capabilities, as well as more than 60 small boats belonging to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in and around the Strait of Hormuz.
"The objective was to degrade Iran's ability to attack international commercial shipping transiting this vital waterway," CENTCOM said in a statement.
