The United States did not need support from other countries in its strikes on Iran, and Washington's request for assistance was a test of its NATO allies, US President Donald Trump stated in an interview with the BBC, APA reports.
"I didn't need them at all, but they had to be there. I certainly didn't need them. We completely destroyed Iran's military power. I didn't need anyone," Trump said. He called his request for support "more of a test."
Speaking about the chances of reaching an agreement with Iran, the American leader asserted that "the other side is eager to make a deal." "So, whatever I say and whatever I do, it seems to be working very well," Trump said.
