US President Donald Trump stated that he is prepared to risk a global economic crisis and renewed hostilities with Iran to prevent Tehran from developing nuclear weapons, APA reports.
"Nuclear weapons are more important than depression. Depression is really bad. Nuclear weapons will lead to a depression faster. The way we're doing this is causing the opposite of a depression," he said, answering questions from reporters at the White House. Trump was commenting on whether he was willing to risk economic catastrophe by threatening further strikes against Iran.
"If Iran does not comply with the agreement, if they behave inappropriately, then I will do what I must," he stressed.
