No country or group of countries other than the United States can protect Greenland, said U.S. President Donald Trump at the World Economic Forum in Davos, APA reports.
“I have respect for both the Danish people and the people of Greenland. However, the fact is that no country or group of countries other than the United States can protect Greenland. During World War II, Denmark lost to Germany after six hours of fighting. The United States sent its forces and protected Greenland. Denmark knows this. Then we returned Greenland to Denmark. That was a foolish move, but we did it. And now the Danes are being ungrateful,” Donald Trump said.
