US President Donald Trump had a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Trump said this on his "Truth Social" account, APA reports.
Trump said that he had a very good and productive discussion with Putin yesterday.
"There is a good chance that the terrible, bloody war in Ukraine will end," the head of White House said.
Trump said he asked Putin to pardon the besieged Ukrainian soldiers: "There are now thousands of Ukrainian soldiers surrounded by Russia. I have earnestly asked President Putin to spare their lives. This would be a horrific massacre not seen since World War II. May God protect them all."
