US President Donald Trump's meeting with Venezuelan Presidential Envoy Delcy Rodriguez was brief but significant; they discussed debt restructuring, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced at a press conference, APA reports.
The meeting took place on Tuesday at a reception hosted by Trump late in the evening on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. The Secretary of State emphasized that Venezuela "probably has the largest sovereign debt in the world that needs to be restructured," adding that the United States is ready to help, but "it needs to be done properly."
