U.S. President Donald Trump is considering carrying out strikes on Venezuelan territory in order to weaken the power of President Nicolás Maduro, APA reports, citing CNN.
“President Donald Trump is reviewing various options for launching military strikes against drug cartels operating in Venezuela, including the possibility of targeting sites inside the country as part of a broader strategy to weaken leader Nicolás Maduro,” the channel stated.
CNN’s sources noted that no final decision has yet been made. However, the possibility of future strikes on Venezuela aimed at forcing Maduro out of office has not been ruled out.
