Thousands of Ukrainian soldiers have been surrounded by Russian forces and are in a vulnerable situation, said U.S. President Donald Trump during a phone conversation with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, APA reports.
He said that he asked Putin to pardon the surrounded Ukrainian soldiers: "Now thousands of Ukrainian soldiers are in Russia’s siege. I have seriously requested President Putin to have mercy on their lives. This would be a horrific massacre not seen since World War II. May God protect them all."
