A pilot was killed and two state troopers were injured when a small plane collided with a Pennsylvania State Police helicopter Wednesday evening, U.S. media reports.
The mid-air collision occurred at Carlisle Airport during a training exercise. The pilot of the small plane, a Cessna 150, was killed and two state police troopers were injured.
Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, in a post on X, identified the two injured as State Police Corporal Pilot Bryce Corman and Trooper Pilot Jason Mills.
The two-man helicopter crew was conducting routine training exercises when the Cessna 150 struck the helicopter from the rear, officials said.
