Baku-APA. An earthquake measuring 5.2 magnitude on the Richter scale jolted Peruvian's central-south resort town of Cusco Sunday afternoon, Peru's Geophysical Institute (IGP) said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 41.50 km, was initially determined to be at 12.8778 degrees south latitude and 70.9742 degrees west longitude.
IGP said there were no immediate reports of damage, though it was the fourth and most powerful reported across the country.
The epicenter's depth made the quake nearly imperceptible for the more than 350,000 habitants of Cusco, old Inca capital city, local radio and television said.
