Bau-APA. Former U.S. President George H.W. Bush may go home this week after nearly two months in a Houston hospital with a bronchitis-related cough and other health issues, Bush's spokesman said Monday, APA reports quoting Xinhua.
Spokesman Jim McGrath said they are hopeful that the ex- president will be released from hospital this week, according to an online report by newspaper The Houston Chronicle.
They are waiting for word from the doctors and additional details would be provided at "appropriate time," McGrath said. Bush, 88, has been hospitalized since Nov. 23 last year with bronchitis.
He was once put under intensive care with a liquids- only diet served, due to a worsening fever. Since being transferred back to a regular hospital room on Dec. 29, Bush's condition has continued to improve and he has been undergoing physical therapy to rebuild his strength, according to the report.
