Baku-APA. A bomb exploded Wednesday in Colombia's northeastern state of Norte de Santander, killing at least one policeman and wounding three others, police said.
An unknown assailant lobbed the bomb at a police patrol, killing Rafael Rodriguez, 28, who had been serving as commander of the local police station in the town of Convencion since October 2012.
A sergeant and two officers were also wounded in the attack that occurred on a road between the towns of Convencion and Ocana.
State Police Chief Eliecer Camacho blamed the attack on members of the 33rd Front of the Revolutionary Amed Forces of Colombia ( FARC), which is active in the region bordering neighboring Venezuela.
The explosion marks the second attack in less than a week against the police force in Norte del Santader.
