Baku-APA. Argentine President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner landed in Havana on Friday to show support for her Venezuelan counterpart Hugo Chavez, who is recovering here from a tumor surgery, APA reports quoting Xinhua.
Upon arrival, Fernandez said she would meet Chavez and his family members here before kicking off a tour to the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia and Vietnam, leading a delegation of 200 business people.
Chavez, 58, underwent a fourth operation on Dec. 11, but then contracted a lung infection that has complicated his recovery.
He was reelected on Oct. 7 last year to another six-year term, but was too ill to attend the swearing-in ceremony, scheduled for Thursday.
