Claims that official figures understate US military casualties in the conflict with Iran are untrue, US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth said while commenting on a report published by The Washington Post, APA reports.
“This is fake, it is disgusting. It is completely false,” Hegseth said.
Citing unnamed sources, The Washington Post reported that the number of US service members killed during the military operation against Iran was higher than officially announced, claiming that at least 22 troops had died rather than 18.
