US President Joseph Biden unconditionally supports F-16 fighter sales to Türkiye, the National Security Advisor of the United States said, APA reports.
The Advisor stated that the Biden administration had been in contact with Senate’s Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Bob Menendez and called on the senator to lift the ban on the sale of F-16 fighters to Türkiye.
Sullivan stated that President Biden has supported this step openly and unequivocally and intends on carrying the discussions forward with Congress.
Biden has stated in his interview with CNN ahead of the Vilnius summit that he supports the F-16 sale to Ankara and that this is an integral part of increasing NATO’s military resources.
